Manages a portfolio of subrogation and recovery claims across multiple insurance lines. Responsibilities include negotiating with third parties, maximizing recoveries, maintaining accurate claim records, monitoring case development, managing vendors and expenses, supporting compliance with insurance laws, and collaborating with internal teams, brokers, insureds, counsel, and representatives. The role also coaches junior handlers and supports recovery data analysis and departmental leadership.

Evaluate, accept or decline HNW motor insurance risks for high-performance vehicles, manage portfolio profitability, provide technical underwriting leadership, liaise with brokers, collaborate with actuarial/claims teams, maintain documentation and SLAs, and contribute to underwriting guidelines and process improvements.

Partner with business leaders to translate people priorities into HR solutions across the full employee lifecycle. Provide coaching on performance, talent, succession, engagement and D&I; support recruitment strategy, manage employee relations, ensure compliance with policies and Australian employment law, liaise with payroll/HR services, analyze people data, and help implement training and workforce plans aligned to business goals.
