About the role:
Accenture is seeking a Workday Finance and Procurement Specialist to join our growing team of digital transformation experts. In this role, you will help clients optimize and automate their financial and procurement processes using the Workday platform. You’ll play a key part in designing, configuring, and deploying innovative finance and procurement solutions that deliver measurable business outcomes.

As part of Accenture’s Technology and Operations groups, you will work across industries, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to define business requirements and deliver scalable, cloud-based Workday solutions that support clients’ finance modernization journeys.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead or support the implementation of Workday Financials and Procurement modules, including core finance, supplier accounts, procurement contracts, and expenses.

  • Work closely with client stakeholders to gather requirements, configure the Workday solution, and support testing and deployment.

  • Provide expertise in business process design for finance and procurement transformation programs.

  • Drive data migration, reporting, integrations, and change management activities during Workday projects.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technical architects, developers, and change leads.

  • Act as a subject matter expert to troubleshoot issues, provide system support, and optimize business performance post-implementation.

  • Contribute to business development efforts, including proposals, demos, and client presentations.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3–5+ years of experience working with Workday Financials and/or Procurement modules.

  • Strong understanding of financial processes such as general ledger, accounts payable, procurement-to-pay, and expense management.

  • Hands-on experience with Workday configuration, security, and reporting.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Ability to engage stakeholders at various levels and translate business needs into technical solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Workday certification in Financials or Procurement modules (or currently pursuing).

  • Experience in full-cycle Workday implementations, preferably in a consulting environment.

  • Experience integrating Workday with third-party systems (ERP, banking, CRM, etc.).

  • Familiarity with Agile delivery and project management frameworks.

  • Background in industries such as Government, Health, Financial Services, or Higher Education.

Primary Location
Melbourne, will consider Canberra also

Important Note: Successful applicant will be required to work 3 days from the Accenture office and 2 days remotely (if required).
