About the role .
This position is responsible for the execution of the ANZ inventory policy, strategy and the systems that underpin it. The primary requirement is the accuracy of the data that drives our physical and logical stock balances. The role will cover all 'plants' across the ANZ region and their related activities as defined by the line manager and the Supply Chain Operations manager.
This role can be based in one of our McCain locations including: Ballarat AU, Melbourne AU, Auckland NZ, Hastings NZ, or Timaru NZ.
What you'll be doing.
• Ensure inventory accuracy across systems (SAP, 3PL WMS) by SKU, batch, quantity, and status
• Monitor and resolve inventory sync issues across 3PL & Company owned warehouses
• Investigate and resolve inbound/outbound, shipping, batch, and EDI errors with stakeholders
• Lead root cause analysis and implement sustainable inventory process improvements
• Maintain compliance with inventory policy and support SCA projects
• Manage WNS team performance, ensuring timely & correct inventory adjustments and error resolution
• Oversee and reduce IDOC, PGI/PGR, ASN, and EDI setup issues with 3PLs
• Track supplier performance and support issue resolution (e.g., returns)
• Provide regular reporting, insights, and maintain documentation for inventory processes
• Support load planning, carrier communication, and cross-functional operations as needed
• Foster strong internal and external relationships through open, collaborative communication
What you'll need to be successful.
• Strong governance, time management, and attention to detail
• Proven ability to set expectations, follow through, and lead by example
• Collaborative leadership and clear, engaging communication
• 4+ years' experience in Frozen Food or FMCG, with deep inventory management expertise
• Proficient in SAP or similar ERP systems
• Skilled in project management, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement
• Advanced Microsoft Suite skills: Power BI experience desirable
• Solid understanding of Chain of Responsibility legislation
• An understanding of 3PL warehouse operations is desirable however not required
