What you’ll be doing: 

We’re looking for a Video Growth Manager to lead the strategy and growth of carsales’ video audiences across YouTube, and carsales channels. You’ll bring together audience insights, creative direction and production leadership to grow subscribers, watch time, retention and engagement, while strengthening the carsales brand and creating new commercial opportunities.

• Translate audience insights, platform trends and commercial opportunities into a clear video strategy, programming slate and production priorities.
• Support and mentor our video production team, building a high-performing culture grounded in creativity, collaboration and accountability.
• Drive measurable audience growth through performance analysis, publishing optimisation and experimentation with formats, thumbnails, metadata and retention.
• Develop original video formats, sponsorship integrations and scalable commercial products in partnership with Editorial, Audience Development, Commercial, and Marketing.
• Share knowledge and contribute as a senior Content leader, championing emerging platforms, technologies and AI-enabled workflows while reporting performance and influencing strategic planning.

What we’re looking for: 

We’re looking for someone who brings strategic thinking, creative judgement, commercial awareness and a genuine curiosity about how audiences discover and engage with video.

• Strong familiarity with video platforms and analytics tools, including YouTube Studio, retention curves, click-through rates, recommendation systems and thumbnail experimentation.
• A demonstrated track record of growing video audiences, with measurable results across subscribers, watch time, retention or engagement.
• Sound knowledge of short-form vertical video, multi-platform distribution strategies and emerging audience behaviours.
• Experience developing commercially successful video products, including sponsorship integrations and branded content, in partnership with sales teams.
• Proven ability to develop strategy, influence senior stakeholders, and lead and support creative production talent.
