We are seeking expressions of interest for current or aspiring VE Teachers, Electrical who have relevant industry qualifications and vocational teaching qualifications OR currently obtaining a Certificate IV in Training & Assessment and Cert III and IV in Electrical.

About the role  

As a VE Teacher at RMIT, you will be mainly responsible for delivering course material, assessing students, and supervising students enrolled in selected courses in the schools. 

  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills relevant to teaching and consultancy environments. This includes effective presentation and facilitation skills, and in the use of flexible teaching methods. 

  • Skills and experience in competency-based assessment and ensuring current and contemporary vocational competence meets and/or exceeds the education level being delivered and assessed. 

  • Experience in relevant industry, and substantial discipline knowledge as it relates to this position. 

  • Relevant Qualifications - Certificate 4 Training & Assessment (enrolled or finished) as a minimum and relevant trades qualifications & licenses. 

  • The capacity to diagnose learning problems in students and propose and implement effective solutions.
