We are looking for a collaborative and strategic UX Designer to take on an exciting role leading a wide range of research and design initiatives, driving continuous improvement across our client experiences.

Always thinking of the big picture, but never afraid to get into the detail, you will be uncovering and addressing client and business needs by designing, developing, evolving and optimising our digital touchpoints (primarily our website); maintaining a strong and consistent visual brand; and producing visual design solutions for various settings. Achieving an optimum combination of excellence, commerciality and velocity to market is critical to be effective in the role.

Your responsibilities will include:
 

UX research and design

  • Leverage data, client insights, user research and stakeholder collaboration to identify opportunities to drive impactful design solutions that enhance the overall experience across a broad range of go-to-market and client touchpoints (including website, email, video, webinar, data visualisation, infographics). Lead user testing.

  • Lead the define stage of new experiences and iterative improvements, applying a wide range of best practice UX frameworks and human centred design principles to generate user stories and outline a clear understanding of the problem to solve.

  • Create and iterate wireframes and mockups, collaborating broadly to secure  buy in from key stakeholders.

  • Collaborate closely with UI/graphic designers, and developers to ensure consistency of visual design, band alignment, technical feasibility and alignment to UACs.

Digital journeys

  • Own key journeys across platforms and digital assets, proactively identifying pain points and designing new flows to remove friction.

  • Lead SEO strategy to improve organic search visibility, including keyword research and contextual/ AI search strategies, on-page optimization and content strategies. Ensure SEO strategy is centred around maximising key journeys and growth areas.

  • Implement and help shape personalised journeys and content.

Continuous Improvement, Innovation and Advocacy  

  • Lead and advocate for UX capability within the wider team, educating a diverse range of stakeholders on UX best practice and value to the business. Enable others through documentation and templates. Lead showcases.

  • Stay ahead of digital and design trends and best practice to bring innovative thinking to the team, and to drive the UX strategy forward, incorporating AI and similar technologies.
     

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity. Hybrid working (60% in the office) is how we work however flexibility matters at Allens, so if you are seeking hybrid working or are looking for flexibility in your work, we would be happy to discuss what arrangements would work best for you.
 

About you

  • 5+ years' experience as a digital professional, preferably in a professional services firm, marketing agency or other corporate organisation with complex stakeholder management.

  • A strong background in digital and design, with a focus on user-centred solutions and business impact.

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • A good understanding of design systems and the ability to maintain visual consistency across multiple platforms.

  • Expertise in mapping user journeys, identifying pain points, and designing seamless, intuitive user flows.

  • Proficiency in wireframing, prototyping, and experience within Figma or similar design tools.

  • A strategic mindset, with the ability to balance user needs, business goals, and technical feasibility.

  • Strong knowledge of SEO best practices and the ability to integrate design and SEO strategies for optimal performance.

  • A results-oriented approach, using data and feedback to iterate and refine designs for maximum impact.
