We have an exciting opportunity for a Treasury Financial Controller to join our Global Financial Control team. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of treasury accounting across a global organisation, partnering with Treasury, Accounting and Finance teams to ensure accurate accounting outcomes, regulatory compliance and robust financial controls across a diverse portfolio of treasury products.

A role you will love

As Treasury Financial Controller, you'll be responsible for overseeing treasury accounting and control activities globally. This includes ensuring accurate accounting and valuation of treasury products, managing financial and regulatory reporting requirements, supporting audit activities, and maintaining a strong control environment.

You will also lead the development of treasury accounting policies and provide expert guidance on the interpretation and application of IFRS standards relating to treasury products and financial instruments

Some key responsibilities:

• Manage treasury accounting, valuation and reporting activities across foreign exchange, derivatives, investment portfolios and other treasury products. 

• Provide technical accounting guidance to Treasury, Accounting and Finance teams, ensuring compliance with IFRS and regulatory requirements. 

• Develop and maintain treasury accounting policies, controls, playbooks and accounting position papers. 

• Lead treasury accounting reporting, reconciliations, management reporting and audit engagements. 

• Drive process improvement initiatives, system enhancements and strategic projects that strengthen treasury accounting capabilities across the Group.

What will you bring to the role?

• Experience in treasury accounting, treasury control, financial control or a similar technical finance role, ideally within a large global organization, financial institution or professional services environment. 

• Deep understanding of IFRS accounting standards relating to financial instruments, derivatives and treasury activities. 

• Professional accounting qualifications such as CPA, CA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent; a relevant treasury qualification would be of advantage.

• Strong experience with treasury and financial systems, with Oracle and Treasury Management System experience highly regarded. 

• Advanced analytical, financial reporting and problem-solving capabilities. 

• Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate and influence at senior levels across the organization. 

• Experience supporting audits, regulatory reporting and complex accounting assessments.
