Our Transport team partners with government and private clients on everything from local intersection upgrades to major freeway interchanges, active transport corridors and precinct-scale developments.   

 

What you’ll do 

As our new Transport Engineer, you will:  

  • Contribute to the planning, analysis and concept design of traffic and transport solutions for road, active transport, and precinct projects 

  • Lead transport feasibility studies, transport planning strategies, and traffic impact assessments 

  • Provide trusted advice to clients such as transport agencies and private developers, including participation in workshops and presentations  

  • Coordinate traffic and transport inputs into multi-disciplinary projects, working closely with road design, civil, planning and digital teams 

  • Mentor junior traffic/transport engineers, helping them grow their technical capability and consulting skills  

  • Contribute to bids, client relationship development and new service offerings, including digital tools and automation in transport engineering workflows  

 

What you’ll bring 

You’ll have a genuine passion for re-imagining how people and goods move through cities and regions, and enjoy solving complex transport problems in a collaborative way.  

Along with your curiosity and drive to keep learning, you will bring:  

  • Degree qualifications in civil / transport engineering or a related discipline  

  • Significant experience in traffic engineering and transport planning, ideally gained on Australian or New Zealand projects  

  • Sound knowledge of relevant standards and guidelines (e.g. Austroads, State government requirements, etc)  

  • Demonstrated experience leading traffic inputs on multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects, including client-facing delivery  

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and the ability to explain complex technical issues clearly  

  • Chartered status (CPEng) or equivalent, or a clear pathway towards it
