What you’ll do

As a Transport Engineer / Transport Planner in our Melbourne team, you’ll support a growing pipeline of city-shaping work across our Integrated Transport & Mobility team.

This is a delivery-focused role, ideal for someone who enjoys working across a broad range of tasks while continuing to build their technical capability and confidence in a fast-paced environment.

What you’ll bring

  • Around 3–5 years’ experience in traffic engineering and/or transport planning

  • Relevant degree in engineering, planning, or a related discipline

  • Understanding of traffic modelling tools such as SIDRA (with exposure to VISSIM, AIMSUN or similar beneficial but not essential)

  • Familiarity with local standards, guidelines, and approval processes (desirable)

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to manage tasks independently while contributing to team outcomes

  • A proactive, adaptable mindset with the ability to pick things up quickly and work across a variety of project types

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
