The Transformation Management Organization Portfolio Analyst is responsible for providing portfolio-level insight and governance across complex, cross-functional transformation initiatives / projects. This role maintains portfolio roadmaps, analyzes project health and performance, evaluates priorities and dependencies, supports capacity and investment decisions, and provides executive-ready reporting to enable effective portfolio management. The Analyst will work across Quality, Engineering, Product Development, Manufacturing, and other business functions to ensure transformation investments are aligned with strategic objectives and deliver intended business, waste-reduction, quality, and timing outcomes.
ResponsibilitiesAs our Transformation Management Organization Portfolio Analyst, you will be at the forefront of driving change. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Manage Portfolio Roadmaps & Visibility: Maintain an integrated view of transformation initiatives, including scope, priorities, milestones, dependencies, investments, owners, and expected outcomes.
Analyze Portfolio Health & Performance: Consolidate project data and assess portfolio-level progress, risks, issues, resource demands, benefits, and delivery trends.
Support Prioritization & Decision-Making: Prepare analysis and recommendations to support prioritization, sequencing, funding, resource allocation, and initiation or continuation of initiatives.
Manage Portfolio Risks, Issues & Dependencies: Identify cross-project risks, resource conflicts, dependencies, and impacts that may affect portfolio objectives. Escalate concerns and support resolution with appropriate leaders.
Support Capacity & Resource Planning: Analyze resource requirements, competing priorities, and capacity constraints across functions and regions to support informed portfolio decisions.
Prepare Executive Reporting & Governance Materials: Develop concise dashboards, portfolio reviews, executive presentations, status reports, and decision materials that communicate portfolio health, trends, tradeoffs, and actions required.
Apply TMO Portfolio Standards: Apply portfolio-management tools, templates, governance practices, and reporting standards to improve consistency, transparency, and decision quality.
Coach and Build Portfolio Management Capability: Teach and coach project teams and business partners on portfolio-management processes, reporting expectations, data quality, governance requirements, and decision-making practices.
Support TMO Business Office Operations: Support portfolio reviews, planning activities, communications, tools, templates, training materials, documentation, and other priorities that enable effective TMO operations.
Drive Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve portfolio processes, reporting, prioritization, governance, and the connection between transformation initiatives and strategic objectives.
QualificationsTo excel in this role, you'll need a robust blend of technical expertise, program management skills, and strategic thinking:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Business, Analytics, or a related field, with 7+ years of professional experience
Portfolio Management Experience: Demonstrated experience consolidating and analyzing information across multiple projects or initiatives, assessing portfolio health, managing dependencies, and preparing recommendations for leadership decision-making.
Analytical and Decision Support Skills: Ability to evaluate project performance, resource demands, risks, benefits, costs, and strategic alignment to support prioritization and investment decisions.
Portfolio Reporting Tools: Experience using Excel, Power BI, Microsoft Project, Jira.
Executive Communication and Influence: Ability to translate complex portfolio information into clear dashboards, presentations, recommendations, and decision materials for senior leadership.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven ability to build relationships, coordinate across departments, and influence partners without direct authority.
Agility and Adaptability: Ability to manage changing priorities, evaluate competing demands, and quickly learn new business and functional areas.
Global Flexibility: Ability and willingness to support transformation initiatives and projects across the United States, Mexico, Hungary, and India while working effectively across time zones, cultures, and business environments.
