The Role

We’re seeking a Training Lead – Hospitality to join our Learning & Development team at Crown Melbourne! Reporting to the Training Manager – Hospitality, you’ll lead the design and delivery of training programs across our Food & Beverage and Hotel portfolios including onboarding, technical skills, service excellence and leadership development. You’ll also support RTO-accredited programs such as Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA).

Working closely with operational leaders, you’ll identify training needs, develop tailored learning solutions, and coach team members to elevate performance and guest experience. This hands-on role requires strong facilitation skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to drive engagement across diverse teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate training initiatives across Food, Beverage & Hotels departments both FOH and BOH, including outlet skills, systems and leadership development

  • Facilitate onboarding programs and deliver technical and service training aligned with Crown’s Service Excellence framework

  • Collaborate with department managers to identify training needs and support a positive team member experience

  • Contribute to the design and delivery of RTO-accredited programs and ensure compliance with training standards

  • Monitor training effectiveness, maintain materials, and produce reports to support business planning and continuous improvement

  • Champion guest service excellence through targeted coaching and development initiatives

About You

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) – essential

  • Demonstrated experience in hospitality training across diverse hotel and food & beverage environments, with a strong ability to design and deliver training materials

  • Hands-on operational experience in hospitality, ideally in leadership roles

  • A passion for guest experience and delivering service excellence

  • Strong facilitation, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage, motivate, and coach diverse teams

  • Proven ability to manage multiple training programs and stakeholder relationships, ensuring alignment with business needs and learning outcomes
