The Opportunity
We are seeking a Battlefield Telecommunications Network Customer Training Specialist to join Boeing Defence Australia supporting the Battlespace Communications System Program.
As a Training Instructor you will be part of a high-performance team that provides exceptional training support for the BDA Battlespace Communications System (BCS). BCS is a next generation networking product that is the centerpiece for multiple projects and campaigns. The BCS combines both developmental and off the shelf hardware and software to provide world leading communications capability for ADF personnel. It can be rapidly deployed from anywhere, and its modular design provides a flexible, scalable solution that can be customized for various mission needs.
This is an exciting time to join the team. The Battlefield Telecommunications Network (BTN) you will provide instruction for is a proven, cutting-edge system that is continually being enhanced to provide the best solutions for the end-user - the Australian Defence Force.
This role is based at the Defence Force School of Signals (DFSS) located in Watsonia, Victoria, forming part of the broader training capability based in Brisbane.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct of training primarily within the DFSS but may require travel to various locations throughout Australia to deliver training
  • Ability to work autonomously and effectively engage with the customer (primarily Army and RAAF) and SMEs
  • Provide support for the design and development of training material
  • Support for the evaluation and update of training material

Experience/Qualifications
To be successful you will have:
  • Strong proven experience in a Telecommunications environment (preferably Defence)
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

It will be desirable to have:
  • Knowledge in the conduct of training in the defence environment
  • Possession of a Certificate III in Telecommunications
  • Possession of qualifications in Information Communication Technology (ICT)
  • Certificate IV TAE 40116 or equivalent Training and Assessment qualification
