Training Coordinator - Laverton, Melbourne

As the Training Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting both the Planning and Operations teams by delivering a robust onsite training program.

You’ll ensure team members are equipped with the skills, knowledge and tools they need to work safely, efficiently and confidently – all while contributing to workforce flexibility through smart rostering and cross-training initiatives.

What You’ll Do

  • Facilitate engaging new-hire orientation, site tours, and classroom-based training

  • Deliver and coordinate Material Handling Equipment (MHE) training

  • Own and manage the training matrix, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards

  • Process onboarding documentation and manage team member availability within rosters

  • Support floor trainers and help develop a new cross-training matrix

  • Monitor and report on training compliance across all departments (e.g. VOCs, standard work)

  • Coordinate refresher sessions and support training needs analysis

  • Assist in the creation of standard work instructions and support continuous improvement efforts

  • Partner with the Planning Manager on job rotation programs for front-line workers

  • Support operations in resourcing and agency engagement

What You Bring

Essential:

  • Experience in a training coordination or similar role, preferably within warehousing, logistics, or FMCG

  • Strong communication, organisation and influencing skills

  • Confidence delivering training to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Experience with MHE, WMS, Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Strong problem-solving mindset and collaborative approach

Preferred:

  • Experience working with external staffing or resource agencies

  • Power BI or dashboard creation

  • Exposure to warehouse planning and process development

  • External: Labour hire agencies, training providers, and key customers
