About the role  
  

 As a Test Manager – Automation, you’ll lead both people and technical aspects of automation testing for Customer & Technology systems. You’ll design and manage automation test strategy and framework across the enterprise; plan and deliver end-to-end testing services and ensure best practice standards and frameworks are implemented. The role is pivotal in uplifting our automation testing maturity, driving quality engineering by embedding an automation-first approach and a focus on quality excellence throughout our delivery landscape.  

Day-to-day, you will:  

• Oversee and implement automation testing strategies and frameworks across projects and BAU. 

• Lead, coach, and mentor technical test teams, fostering capability uplift and high performance. 

• Collaborate with stakeholders to manage testing outcomes and drive continuous improvement. 

• Prepare, track, and report on testing activities, risks, and progress. 

• Ensure compliance with governance, quality, and safety standards. 

• Build strong relationships with internal teams and external vendors. 
    

This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferrable skills and experiences, including:  

• Extensive experience in automation test management, quality engineering, and agile ways of working. 

• Strong technical leadership experience, ability to design test automation strategy and drive test automation framework implementation. 

• Experience developing test automation strategy and framework in complex programs of work across multiple application stacks. 

• Experience in quality engineering and automation first ways of working. 

• Tosca & Jenkins experience – a must  

• Tosca Agentic AI, qTest – MCP and Selenium – would be nice to have 

• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and mentoring skills.
