Job Description

This role leads a team of Claims Consultants, Claims Service Consultants, and Officers to deliver exceptional claims handling and service in line with TAL's philosophy, procedures, and risk management framework. The focus is on providing a market-leading customer experience while managing risk and regulatory compliance through strong operational disciplines, portfolio management, stakeholder engagement, and team capability development. The Team Manager also resolves escalated issues or customer complaints, ensuring outcomes align with TAL’s claims philosophy.

In this role you will:  

  • Drive process improvements and change management within the team for best practice claims handling.
  • Contribute to department and company projects as needed
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of life insurance guidelines, processes, and policy changes.
  • Ensure claims handling and service reflect industry best practices and TAL policies.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years’ experience in a similar team manager role within Financial Services/Insurance Industry or 5 years’ experience in a Claims Consultant (or similar) role.
  • Strong knowledge of Insurance, with preference given to Life Insurance experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in operational management.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
