About the Role
We’re looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist who goes far beyond job boards and CVs — someone who brings structure, foresight, and systems thinking into how we build our team.

This role isn’t just about filling positions. It’s about engineering the talent function that powers our company’s growth. You’ll work directly with leadership to translate business expansion plans into workforce strategies, design scalable hiring systems, and own the recruitment pipeline from end to end.

If you’re analytical, process-driven, and passionate about connecting great people with meaningful roles — this is your opportunity to shape how we grow.

Responsibilites:

  • Forecast hiring needs based on strategic growth plans

  • Define new roles and co-create competency frameworks with department heads

  • Design structured, role-specific recruitment pipelines — from sourcing to selection

  • Conduct initial candidate screenings to assess alignment, capabilities, and culture fit

  • Drive a positive candidate experience while optimizing for speed and quality of hire

  • Monitor and report on key hiring metrics (e.g., time-to-hire, pipeline health, source quality)

  • Partner with hiring managers to ensure alignment and consistency in evaluations

Requirements:

  • 2–5 years of experience in recruitment, talent acquisition and workforce planning

  • Engineering, technical, or analytical background preferred (but not required)

  • Strong systems thinker with a process-oriented mindset

  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on clarity and consistency

  • Comfortable owning the full recruitment lifecycle — from planning to onboarding

Bonus if you have:

  • Experience in a high-growth environment

  • Familiarity with competency design, org planning, or people analytics

  • Hands-on experience with ATS tools and recruitment performance metrics

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
