Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Consultant (3-6 years’ experience), to assist in the delivery of end-to-end digital systems delivery across our major infrastructure client portfolio. This role blends strong delivery leadership with stakeholder engagement, and digital transformation skills, requiring confidence working directly with senior clients and technology vendors partners to achieve digital uplift for our clients.

Turner & Townsend's Digital team develops and deploys technology platforms that transform how we and our clients manage built environment projects across construction, infrastructure, natural resources, asset management and property. At the centre of this is the Hive, our proprietary cloud platform for cost intelligence, benchmarking, and project reporting, used across our global business and increasingly deployed directly for clients.

As the Hive and our broader digital offering continues to grow across ANZ, we're looking for a Systems & Platform Deployment Specialist to help us deliver Hive implementation projects, plus assist our clients on their systems strategy and implement industry leading project delivery system solutions.

This is a hands-on, client-facing role. You will work to deploy digital systems, including our Hive platform, for clients end-to-end, from scoping and discovery through to configuration, data management, training, and ongoing support. You'll also play an important part in building capability internally, helping our project and cost management teams adopt and get the most out of the Hive system modules we have built.

This role is well suited to someone with experience in software-as-a-service (SaaS) systems configuration or technology consulting who is comfortable working directly with clients in the built environment sector. This is not a software development role, but you do need to be confident working with data and able to think clearly about how systems, business processes and data structures fit together.

If you have helped deploy a large-scale enterprise or project management systems end-to-end system the role is for you!

Key Requirements

  • Experience in deploying and managing large-scale enterprise or project management systems or technology such as Portfolio Project Management (PPM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Project Controls, Finance or Risk Management

  • Experience in any of our major infrastructure sectors across Airports, Rail, Transport, Data Centres, Water, Defence, Mining, or Power and Utilities

  • Experience in working in a consulting, digital PMO or client-facing environment

  • Passionate about digital project management - implementing systems, managing SaaS vendors and working across client stakeholders to uplift client performance

  • Problem-solving mindset, strong client communications and project management skills, with a can-do attitude and strong technical fluency

  • Knowledge about project controls systems, processes and project data domains

  • Experience in positioning, identifying digital technology opportunities and supports bids and business development activities

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver end-to-end SaaS platform deployments for clients (eg Hive), from initial scoping and discovery workshops through to configuration, testing, training, and handover.

  • Work with clients to understand their data structures, workflows, and reporting requirements, translating these into clear platform configuration and setup.

  • Define and implement data management processes: understanding where client data lives, how it will be ingested, and how to automate and streamline.

  • Configure platforms to reflect each client's specific asset types, data models, cost structures, and the applications they need.

  • Facilitate client workshops, steering committees, and governance forums to align stakeholders on priorities, scope, risks, and delivery approach while driving informed decision‑making.

  • Deliver user training and produce clear documentation tailored to each client's setup and use cases.

  • Manage ongoing client relationships, providing support, updates, and iterative improvements as the engagement evolves.

  • Oversee the implementation and optimisation of digital delivery, PMO, and portfolio management systems, improving transparency, governance, and organisational performance.

  • Translate digital and data strategies into actionable roadmaps, detailed delivery plans, and measurable outcomes, including contribution to diagnostics, maturity assessments, and transformation initiatives.

  • Contribute to bids and proposals where digital platforms are part of the offering, explaining the value clearly for a range of client audiences.

  • Manage vendors, delivery partners, and change activities, including planning, implementation oversight, business case support, user adoption, and ensuring long‑term value realisation.

  • Support opportunity discovery, scoping, solution design, proposals, and demos of the Hive platform.

  • Support the development of new service propositions and marketing and thought leadership (case studies, playbooks, webinars, showcases) of the Hive platform.

  • Identify opportunities to deepen or extend existing client relationships through additional digital capability.

  • Be responsible for the safety, health, and wellbeing of self and others, promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with organisational policies and standards.

Qualifications

  • A degree in one of the following: Business, Economics, Mathematics, Commerce, Engineering, Maths.
  • Professional experience in one of the following fields: management consulting, business analysis, technology consulting, or digital transformation.

  • Experienced in digital transformation programs and end-to-end system implementations

  • Knowledge of construction, infrastructure, project controls and capital project management activities

Other Requirements

  • Comfortable with working from client-site or from the Turner & Townsend Sydney office

  • Comfortable with travel (in Australia)

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
