- Infrastructure Management: Configure and administer on-premises server infrastructure, storage, and IT services, with a primary focus on hybrid Windows and Linux (RHEL) environments.
- Identity & Access Management: Maintain Active Directory (AD/LDAP) services, ensuring secure user authentication, authorization, and efficient user account and directory structure management.
- Virtualization & High Availability: Administer and support the end-to-end operations of SCVMM Failover Clusters, ensuring maximum uptime, performance, and seamless resource orchestration.
- Technical Support: Provide technical and systems support to project development teams by gathering, communicating, and implementing complex technical requirements.
- Incident Management: Proactively perform fault finding and rapid resolution of ad-hoc technical issues to minimize system downtime and maintain service continuity.
Technical Competencies:
- Systems Administration: Experience in system administration within an on-premises self-hosted server environment.
- OS Expertise: Proficient in administering Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments.
- Directory Services: Familiar with Active Directory (AD) management, including DNS, DHCP, and identity lifecycle management.
- Virtualization Specialist: Experience managing Hyper-V and System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM), including the management of Failover Clusters.
- Automation & Scripting: Demonstrated ability to use scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Ansible) to automate routine administration tasks, deployment, and security controls.
- Security & Hardening: Understanding of security controls, system hardening techniques, and the administration of access and configuration controls via GPOs and other enterprise tools.
- Lifecycle Management: Experience in patching of software, operating systems, and hardware firmware
- Modern Methodologies: A working awareness of CI/CD pipelines and their application within infrastructure management.
