That’s why we pledge to support and empower all our people to make a positive impact when working hand in hand with our business to motivate change. We'll help you accelerate your career and empower you with the right technology and training as you bring ideas and projects to life.

Together with your colleagues, clients, and partners, you'll make an impact that is felt by all.

Who are we looking for?

This role requires a technically strong professional who can analyse complex, multi‑domain issues, quickly form a clear problem statement, and lead effective technical discussions to resolution. Success in this role depends not only on technical expertise, but on the ability to communicate clearly, facilitate technical conversations, and collaborate across diverse technology teams.

This position can be based in Auckland (NZ), Melbourne (AU), Sydney (AU), Adelaide (AU) or Brisbane (AU).

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

  • Provision, manage, monitor, and decommission Systems and Platforms to ensure their availability, reliability, and security.
  • Work closely with our Enterprise Technology teams to facilitate seamless integration and alignment of technologies and services with business requirements, policies, and sound IT practices.
  • Provide high level technical guidance and support to Service Delivery team members for IS Operations activities and projects across the Asia Pacific region.
  • Ensure system design, development, deployment, and security functions align with regional requirements and GHD standards.
  • Build strategic cross-functional partnerships with Technology and Service Delivery leaders to drive operational resolutions, innovation, and process improvement.
  • Analyse complex operational and architectural issues spanning multiple platforms, technologies, and teams to identify root causes and viable resolution paths.
  • Coordinate technical discussions, workshops, and incident reviews to drive shared understanding, decision‑making, and outcomes.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, pragmatic explanations tailored to the audience, including Service Delivery, Enterprise Technology, Security, and vendors.
  • Act as a technical coordinator during complex incidents or initiatives, ensuring the right people are engaged at the right time.
  • Proactively engage stakeholders through direct conversation (e.g. phone or video) where clarity, urgency, or alignment is required, rather than relying solely on messaging or email.
  • Automate deployment and configuration management using scripting languages such as PowerShell and Python.
  • Maintain vulnerability management and business continuity for Cloud and On-prem infrastructure.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong analytical capability, with the ability to break down complex and ambiguous problems into structured, actionable components.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, with confidence leading technical conversations, meetings, and reviews across multiple teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate and coordinate technical meetings, keeping discussions focused, productive, and outcome‑driven.
  • Comfortable engaging in real‑time discussions to resolve issues, clarify requirements, or align stakeholders.
  • Ability to navigate differing technical opinions and drive consensus through reasoned discussion and evidence‑based decision‑making.
  • Collaborative mindset with a preference for building relationships and resolving issues through direct engagement.
  • Experience managing Azure Virtual Desktop or other DaaS/VDI solutions.
  • Solid experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Azure products: Virtual Networks, Network Security Groups, Conditional Access, and Microsoft Endpoints Manager (Intune).
  • Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop management or other DaaS/VDI solutions. Orchestration via Nerdio highly regarded.
  • Sound Information Systems project management skills.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a global systems administrator role/environment, supporting Microsoft environments, enterprise connectivity, cyber security, public and private cloud.
  • Certification in associated technology disciplines (e.g., Cisco, Azure, M365, MCSA, MCSE, etc) advantageous.
  • Experience with ServiceNow and Intune would be welcome.
  • Experience working with remote, multi-cultural teams.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
