We’re looking for a Supply Planner who is curious, analytical and passionate about improving the way supply chains operate. About the Role

Reporting to the Planning Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the right products are available at the right place and the right time while balancing inventory investment, supplier performance and customer service.

As GPC continues to evolve its planning capability, this role offers the opportunity to contribute to improved planning processes, new ways of working and the ongoing development of our planning function. We are looking for planners who are motivated by continuous improvement and who are excited to help shape the future of planning.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing end-to-end supply planning across your assigned supplier and product portfolio.
  • Developing supply plans that balance customer service, inventory investment and supplier performance.
  • Ensuring timely ordering and delivery of inventory while maintaining agreed inventory targets.
  • Monitoring inventory, product availability and supply risks, proactively identifying issues and implementing solutions.
  • Analysing supplier performance, service levels and key planning metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Building strong working relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders including Category Management, Merchandise Planning, Distribution Centres, Transport and Group Support teams.
  • Supporting Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and other cross-functional planning activities.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives that improve planning efficiency, supplier performance and inventory outcomes.
  • Contributing to planning process improvements and supporting the ongoing evolution of our planning capability.
  • Working collaboratively with internal and external partners to deliver integrated supply chain solutions.

About You

You are a proactive, collaborative and results-focused professional who enjoys solving problems and making informed decisions through data and analysis.

You’ll ideally bring:

  • Experience in Supply Planning, Inventory Planning, Replenishment or a similar planning environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
  • Confidence working with data to support business decisions.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of the business.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to influence outcomes across multiple business functions.
  • Curiosity, adaptability and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • A customer-focused approach with strong commercial awareness.

The following would be highly regarded:

  • Experience using planning or ERP systems.
  • Exposure to Power BI or other reporting and analytical tools.
  • Experience participating in business improvement, planning transformation or system implementation initiatives.
  • An interest in digital technologies, automation or AI and how they can improve planning outcomes.
