Owns high-impact ANZ strategic projects spanning commercial growth, customer expansion, partnerships, sales, and delivery. The role translates regional priorities into workstreams, milestones, dashboards, operating cadences, and repeatable playbooks. It resolves cross-functional blockers, improves sales-to-delivery execution, supports priority accounts and partners, and uses data, automation, and AI to improve regional performance. Success is measured through revenue retention, opportunity progression, partner contribution, delivery efficiency, and stronger operating leverage for regional leadership.

Electricity grids are undergoing the most significant transformation in a century. The shift to renewables, the proliferation of rooftop solar, batteries and EVs, and the increasing complexity of distribution networks are forcing utilities to operate their grids in fundamentally new ways. Gridsight's vertical SaaS platform uses data, ML and AI to help grid operators modernise their operations and unlock transformational new capabilities. We deliver visibility into the grid edge, faster renewable connections, and real-time orchestration of distributed energy. The opportunity is enormous ($1B+ ARR).

We're embedded with over 50% of Australia's distribution networks, more than 30% in New Zealand, and have 1 of the top 5 utilities in the US as our lighthouse. Airtree led our Series A, we grew ARR 3.4x in the past 6 months, we just closed our Series B led by a major US fund, and we're on the path to build the first truly generational utility software company.

We are a team of builders. What unites us is that we’re curious, hungry and obsessed with maximising the impact we can deliver to Gridsight and the energy transition. If that sounds like you, come join us!

The role

Gridsight has a strong position in Australia and significant opportunity to deepen key accounts, expand through partners and make the regional commercial engine more scalable. We are looking for a Strategic Projects Lead to turn those regional opportunities and constraints into measurable outcomes.

This is a hands-on regional operating role designed to create leverage for the ANZ GM and regional leadership by turning the ANZ plan into executed outcomes. You will report to the ANZ GM and be based in Sydney. Your portfolio will be set against the ANZ plan, with a primary focus on Australia: deepen priority accounts, strengthen the partner ecosystem and improve how opportunities move from sales through delivery and expansion.

Your mandateOwn the highest-leverage strategic projects
  • Own a small portfolio of the ANZ region’s most important commercial and customer initiatives, from clearly framed problem to measurable result.
  • Turn regional leadership priorities into clear workstreams, owners, milestones, risks and decision points, then maintain momentum through delivery.
  • Structure ambiguous regional problems from first principles, form hypotheses, find the evidence and implement the answer.
  • Incubate new regional motions, prove them in Australia and transition them cleanly to the right Sales, Partnerships or Delivery owner.
Advance Australian commercial and customer outcomes
  • Build account and market plans that connect customer needs, the commercial path and delivery realities.
  • Help Sales advance priority opportunities and expansions by resolving cross-functional blockers, strengthening commercial cases and driving clear next steps.
  • Turn partnerships into measurable revenue, market reach, credibility or delivery capacity across the region.
  • Help priority Australian customers move from commercial commitment to realized value quickly and reliably, protecting trust and creating room for expansion.
  • Turn customer, win-loss and delivery patterns into concrete choices about where the Australian team should focus, experiment or stop.
Connect Sales, Partnerships and Delivery
  • Create one shared view of regional priorities, commitments, owners and dependencies across Sales, Partnerships and Delivery.
  • Connect the teams before commitments are made so scope, responsibilities and customer outcomes are clear.
  • Diagnose friction across the regional sales-to-delivery lifecycle and stay accountable until the path is stable.
  • Use implementation and account evidence to protect retention, surface expansion opportunities and improve commercial choices.
  • Turn successful delivery improvements into repeatable handoffs and playbooks that functional teams can own.
Build the operating system for repeatable execution
  • Create a focused regional cadence around account health, expansion, pipeline, partner contribution and delivery performance.
  • Build the dashboards and analysis that give the ANZ GM and regional leadership one trusted view of performance and the decisions required.
  • Run cross-functional reviews that end with a decision, owner and next action—not another status update.
  • Use automation and AI to remove recurring regional work and give Sales, Partnerships and Delivery more time with customers.
What success looks like
  • Priority Australian accounts expand and regional net revenue retention strengthens.
  • Priority opportunities move more predictably from pipeline through delivery and realized customer value.
  • Partner relationships produce measurable revenue, market reach or delivery leverage.
  • Delivery becomes faster, more repeatable and more efficient without compromising quality.
  • The ANZ GM and regional leadership have more leverage because priority projects are fully owned, decisions move faster and successful improvements become routines operated by the right team.
What will make you phenomenal
  • You start with the regional constraint, not the org chart, and keep going until the outcome is visible.
  • You think from first principles, use data well and are willing to challenge an inherited answer.
  • You are a hands-on builder: equally comfortable with an executive customer and the model, CRM cleanup or playbook needed to move the work.
  • You bring high agency and low ego, and you measure your contribution in regional results rather than activity.
  • You stay close to customers, partners and frontline teams because the best regional decisions start with ground truth.
  • You have strong commercial judgment and can connect enterprise sales, partnerships, delivery economics and customer value.
  • You can lead complex work across functions without formal authority and make trade-offs clear when leaders disagree.
  • Experience in a high-growth startup, strategy and operations, consulting, enterprise go-to-market, partnerships or customer delivery is useful; evidence of ownership and regional execution matters more than a conventional pedigree.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
