Telstra InfraCo is Telstra’s specialist infrastructure business. We are committed to partnering with our customers to accelerate business opportunities by accessing our diverse national telecommunications infrastructure. We own and manage a growing asset portfolio of fibre, duct, poles and fixed network facilities including data centres, cable landing stations and satellite ground stations.
Focus of the Role
As a Partnership Specialist, you will play a key role within a new Strategic Partnerships team in Telstra InfraCo. Your focus will be on helping to develop, execute and manage strategic partnerships to support the Digital Infrastructure Solutions function. This is the part of the business that develops the products, services and customer propositions around our infrastructure assets to drive market leadership and sustainable growth.
Strategic partnerships is a key enabler of our long-term Telstra InfraCo strategy and how we will achieve our future ambitions to be a leader in digital infrastructure. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be a part of a new team focused on growth. You will tackle challenging projects and be exposed to a rapidly changing digital infrastructure market and different types of partnership opportunities to deliver value. There will be support for you to develop a wide set of skills as well as relationships across a breadth of internal and external stakeholders including Customer, Marketing, Product, Strategy and Finance.

What You’ll Do
This is how you bring your role to life:
- Monitor and analyse industry and partnership developments, competitor activities and market trends and evaluate their impact on our strategy.
- Support the identification and evaluation of partnership initiatives including assessing the strategic rationale, partnership model, partner fit and value creation for Telstra InfraCo and DIS.
- Develop comprehensive partnership plans including ‘Proof of Concept’ pilots as required; implement partnership initiatives to ensure successful project execution.
- Drive excellent partnership management processes and standards to support existing and new partners and enable the team to scale with growth.
- Maintain the partnerships roadmap and manage our risk profile. Track and assess the progress, health and success of partnership initiatives, ensuring alignment with the broader planning, performance and risk process.
- Maintain and nurture relationships with key stakeholders across Telstra InfraCo, Telstra Group and our partners. Help to prepare for and facilitate information flow, decision making, and resolve any issues that arise with key stakeholders.
About You
To be successful in the role, you'll bring the following:
- Experience in a strategy, business development, GTM or partnerships function of a large commercial enterprise, consulting or other advisory firm.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and structured thinking to understand and tackle business challenges and needs.
- Strong project management capabilities, attention to detail and experience in developing and executing plans.
- Solid financial, commercial and analytical skills to provide insights and assess business opportunities and impacts.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to facilitate decision making and build key relationships. Adept at working in a collaborative, high performance environment.
- Understanding of digital infrastructure, telecommunications, technology or related industries is helpful but not a requirement.
