As a Staff Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining our software solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software that meets our business needs.

The Core Account Services Crew is a high-impact engineering team within Retail Technology, focused on modernizing and scaling the bank’s foundational account capabilities. The work spans API Catalogue, SAP integration, platform resilience, and engineering excellence.
We’re interested in people who
Design, develop, and maintain software applications using NodeJS, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
Develop and maintain APIs, including OpenAPI specifications and API design.
Utilize AWS and other cloud technologies to build scalable and reliable solutions.
Implement and manage Kafka for real-time data processing and messaging.
Collaborate with architects and other engineers to design and implement robust software solutions.
Measure and optimize performance to ensure high availability and reliability.
Apply Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles to improve system reliability and performance.
Implement observability practices using OpenTelemetry and other tools to monitor and troubleshoot applications.
Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure alignment and understanding of project goals.
Tech Skills
We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don’t expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team:
Proficiency in NodeJS, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
Strong experience with API development, including OpenAPI and API design.
Expertise in AWS and cloud technologies.
Experience with Kafka for real-time data processing.
Experience with OpenTelemetry and observability tools.
