Position Summary
The Senior Product Designer is a hands-on design leader who combines strategic vision with deep individual design expertise. You will actively contribute to and lead design efforts across our product ecosystem, creating innovative solutions that solve complex user problems while advancing our product strategy. As both an individual contributor and a design mentor, you'll design high-impact product experiences, collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, and provide strategic design guidance. Your role will balance direct design work with team leadership, using your expertise to drive design excellence, inspire your teammates, and ensure our products deliver exceptional user value.
Essential Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end design strategy for complex product initiatives, developing comprehensive user experience solutions from concept to implementation
- Create design deliverables ranging from low-fidelity wireframes to high-fidelity, feature-rich prototypes and design systems
- Collaborate closely with UX research team to validate design hypotheses, co-develop research plans, and iterate on design solutions based on user insights
- Leverage data-driven insights from user research, behavioral analytics, and performance metrics to inform and validate design decisions
- Establish and elevate the design excellence standard for product experiences, setting a high bar for visual design, interaction quality, and user-centered innovation
- Mentor junior designers and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive design excellence and product innovation
- Communicate design strategies and insights effectively to stakeholders across the organization
- Continuously improve design processes and stay current with emerging design trends and technologies
🧠 Ideal Skills, Experience, and Competencies
- 5+ years of experience in product design, with a comprehensive portfolio demonstrating complex problem-solving and design innovation
- Advanced proficiency in design tools and prototyping software (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision)
- Deep expertise in user-centered design principles and design thinking methodologies
- Proven ability to collaborate and problem-solve across diverse teams and organizational functions
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of articulating design rationales to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Demonstrated comfort with ambiguity and adaptability in fast-moving, dynamic product environments
- Experience leveraging AI tools and technologies to enhance design workflows, generate innovative solutions, and improve design efficiency
- Strong proficiency with Agile development methodologies and project management tools (Jira, Confluence)
- Advanced skills in design research, user testing, and translating complex user insights into actionable design strategies
- Expertise in using and evolving design systems in collaboration with a design system team to ensure consistency and adapt to new feature needs
