Due to our continuous growth, we have an exciting opportunity for full-time Sprinkler Fitters to join our service team in Knoxfield. This role suits an individual who is enthusiastic about contributing to the success of our business while delivering high-quality inspection, testing, servicing, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems and fire pump sets across a variety of client sites.
 
You’ll support our growing client base to ensure we continue providing outstanding customer service and compliant fire protection solutions. If you are looking for a hands-on role with diversity, autonomy, and long-term career growth, this opportunity is for you.
 
This role will be a key position within our operations team, working under the guidance of the Operations Manager, with responsibilities including, but not limited to:
  • Conduct routine inspection and testing of sprinkler systems and fire pump sets
  • Perform sprinkler flow testing across diverse building classifications
  • Testing of sprinkler and hydrant pump sets
  • Carry out fault finding and troubleshooting activities
  • Perform visual inspections of sprinkler heads, valves, pipes, and associated equipment
  • Record test results, maintenance activities, and deficiencies identified during inspections
  • Complete service reports and compliance documentation accurately and on time
  • Liaise with customers and site contacts to coordinate testing activities
  • Support minor breakdown repairs and servicing works, including 5-yearly servicing of wet fire systems
  • Maintain safe work practices and contribute to the company’s safety culture

About You
The successful applicant will need to demonstrate a strong understanding of fire sprinkler systems, fire pump sets, and fire protection compliance requirements across commercial, industrial, and residential properties.
 
Your Education, Experience and Skills
  • Previous experience and qualifications as a Sprinkler Fitter within the Fire Industry
  • Registered Sprinkler Fitter qualification through the VBA (Victorian Building Authority)
  • Advanced exposure in testing diverse wet fire systems across various building classifications
  • Experience testing sprinkler and hydrant pump sets
  • Proficient in conducting sprinkler flow testing
  • Strong fault finding and troubleshooting capabilities
  • Proficient reporting and documentation skills
  • Current Victorian drivers licence
  • OH&S Induction Training / White Card
  • Ability to work autonomously with strong time management skills
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office for reporting and documentation
  • Strong operational and safety skills
  • Effective communication skills at all levels
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
  • Willingness to learn new skills and technologies
  • Strong focus on safety and reliability
  • Experience with minor breakdown repair works and 5-yearly servicing of wet fire systems highly regarded
  • Successful applicant required to undertake Police and Working With Children checks
