How will you make an impact?

In this Product Specialist role, you will sell Agilent Atomic/Molecular Spectroscopy products and solutions to commercial, government, and academic institutions in the assigned territory. You will be leveraging your technical knowledge to serve as the spectroscopy expert for your customers and internal collaborators. We encourage independent thinking and creativity as you drive your business. You will create and develop business opportunities, as well as successful strategies and tactics to increase our presence in our customers’ labs. You hold a quota and are compensated for Atomic and Molecular Spectroscopy sales in the assigned geography. We are a cohesive team of technical specialists driving Agilent’s success in this dynamic marketplace!

What will you do?

  • Main product covered by this product specialist are AAS, ICP-OES, ICP-MS, and UV/IR spectrometers.
  • Remain current on Atomic and Molecular Spectroscopy market to maintain expertise in Spectroscopy systems, competitors, and workflows.
  • Promotes and sells products and/or solutions to current or new customers/partners and informs customers of new product introductions in the assigned territory.
  • Participate in local technical shows and Atomic/Molecular spectroscopy-related conferences.
  • Have a deep knowledge of our product portfolio to ensure we support our customers with the correct solution.
  • Serve as the technical liaison between the account manager team, application team, and customers.
  • Develop and deploy unique strategies to reach customers.
  • Creates, monitors and revises lead generation plans for the assigned products.
  • Build customer relationships. Maintains positive ongoing long-term relationships with key customers.
  • Drive opportunities through the complete sales cycle.
  • Create and deliver seminars that educate and increase awareness of our solutions, ultimately leading to new Agilent customers.
  • Provide market and product feedback to R&D.
  • Use CRM and other tools as required to drive business effectiveness and visibility.
  • Handle complex demands and relationships to enhance customer satisfaction while exceeding Agilent sales goals.

Qualifications

  • B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or other related majors.
  • Industry and/or educational experience related to Atomic and/or Molecular Spectroscopy products that provided fundamental knowledge of theories, principles, and applications.
  • Ability to work as a team by coordinating and communicating with internal resources.
  • Willingness to embrace new ways of connecting with customers.
  • Experience with strategic selling.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Solid presentation skills.
  • Comfort with asking questions and continually learning. ​
  • Travel Required: 50% of the Time

This job has a full time weekly schedule. It includes the option to work remotely.
