Job Title: Solutions Analyst

Location: (including hybrid): Melbourne, Australia

Part time available?: No

Team: Energy Optimisation & Sales Solutions

Reporting To: (Job title): Senior Product Manager

Role open date: 2 September, 2025

Closing date for applications: 16th of September, 2025

Kaluza reimagines energy to bring net-zero within everyone’s reach. The Kaluza Platform enables energy utilities to unlock the full value of a radically changing energy system and propel us to a future where renewable energy is sustainable, affordable and accessible for all.

From automating and simplifying core operations including billing to create a lower-cost, higher-engagement experience, to optimising energy usage across smart devices in the home, we turn tough challenges into win-win-win outcomes for customers, suppliers and the energy system.

We champion a flexible, hybrid work approach and we find that teams often benefit from coming together in the office at least 2-3 days a week to foster connection and accelerate progress.

Outside of these collaborative opportunities, we aim to be as flexible as possible to balance work with life. As a company we come together annually for our conference and end of year celebrations!

Our goal is to build a self-sufficient and empowered team here on the ground in Australia. We’re well on our way, but until we get there we still have some reliances on our UK team. Being comfortable working flexibly for a portion of your working week to cover time zones is required.

What will I be doing?

You’ll be working with Kaluza’s energy optimisation and sales solutions, known as The Zoo. The Zoo is made up of SaaS technology platforms that aim to modernise the pricing and quoting process, and provide meaningful data visualisations for energy retailers globally.

The Solutions Analyst will play a key role in driving process improvements and technological innovations. This role is crucial for identifying new opportunities, analyzing existing workflows, and leading projects from initial concept through to successful implementation.

You’ll be:

  • Acting as a solution driver: You'll use your curious mind to identify opportunities for change and take the lead on seeing those changes through from the initial idea to final delivery.
  • Working independently: You'll be trusted to work autonomously, showing initiative and taking ownership of your projects. You won't be afraid to experiment and "just do the thing" to see what happens.
  • Analysing and improving processes: You'll use your skills in process analysis and design to understand current workflows and redesign them to be more efficient and effective.
  • Leveraging data for decisions: You'll analyze data to uncover valuable insights, using this information to inform strategic decisions and support your proposed solutions.
  • Designing technology solutions: You'll have a keen interest in how technology works and will be involved in designing and delivering solutions that meet business needs.
  • Solving problems collaboratively: You'll bring a proactive, problem-solving mindset and work with others to find and implement the best solutions.

About You

Ideally you’ll have/be

  • A highly curious and inquisitive mindset with a passion for continuous learning and problem-solving.
  • Demonstrated experience in the full project lifecycle, from ideation and business case development to successful implementation.
  • Proficiency in process analysis and design, with a keen eye for identifying opportunities for optimisation.
  • Strong data analysis skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and show initiative, taking ownership of projects and driving them forward without constant supervision.
  • A collaborative approach with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

What will set you apart

  • Experience in the energy sector, particularly wholesale energy would be highly desirable but not essential
  • A "get it done" attitude with a willingness to experiment and iterate quickly.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
