Your New Role and Responsibilities  

We have an opportunity for an experienced Solution Architect for a maximum period of 6-months to support a multi-year Defence program in delivering an enterprise Health Knowledge Management (HKM) System to improve clinical decision-making for the ADF.

This role will look to comply with predetermined architectures and design to support the delivery of an enterprise Health Knowledge Management System that will provide market leading healthcare to Australian Defence Force personnel.

Key Responsibilities: -

  • Working collaboratively with the design team; including the Solution Lead, Systems Engineers, and Integration Developers in the delivery of the Health Knowledge Management System

  • Analyze functional and non-functional requirements for Health Care systems integration of Patient Care, Allied Health, Dental Care, Dispensing, Telemedicine and other specialist Health Care disciplines.

  • Participation in requirement elaboration workshops with Health Care vendors and Federal Government representatives

  • Produce solution design artefacts including but not limited to; Sequence Diagrams, Activity Diagrams, and API schema to support Health Care systems integration

  • Supporting System Engineers to implement design artefacts and change review boards

  • Provide architecture guidance and support to System Engineers and Integration Developers, including support for verification and validation activities

What You’ll Bring to Make An Impact  

  • Extensive experience in software development and solution architecture, with strong background in designing complex integrated solutions.

  • Strong knowledge of health data protocols (HL7v2, FHIR) and data formats (JSON, XML).

  • Proven background in systems integration and API development.

  • Skilled in producing high-quality technical documentation.

  • Degree in engineering/ICT (or equivalent); TOGAF 9 and ITIL v3 certifications desirable.

This role does require the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and hold Baseline security clearance.
