Red Hat Melbourne  seeks an experienced OpenShift Specialist Solutions Architect (SSA) to join its Tech Sales team. This role involves building trust with customer architecture, development, and operations teams, promoting Red Hat solutions adoption in key accounts across government, financial services and managed service providers. Our goal is to align customer business needs with OpenShift platform capabilities through both on-site and remote engagement.

What you'll do:

Successful applicants will proactively drive technical outcomes to meet customer objectives, in close collaboration with the entire  Red Hat Sales team. You are expected to deliver live demonstrations that address a customer's business challenges, facilitate discovery sessions, workshops and proof-of-concepts. A key aspect of this role is bringing insightful perspectives to customer conversation. This role requires a growth mindset and commitment to professional development, certifications and learning new technologies and skills.

What you'll bring:

  • Excellent communication, presentation and problem-solving skills with a track record, and experience in technical sales is a strong preference.

  • Knowledge of cloud Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) technologies like Red Hat OpenShift or related experience with Kubernetes deployments. 

  • Knowledge of Linux or UNIX operating systems, preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).

  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies for application deployment and operations like VMware vSphere, KVM, etc. 

  • Familiarity with the design and operation of medium to large-scale enterprise and cloud infrastructures. 

  • Experience with DevOps tools, methodologies and best practices.  

  • Familiarity with information technology security technologies and cloud-native application security.
