Software Engineer I - Frontend

TraceLink is building a cloud-based network and application platform that enables global organizations to securely share critical business information across the pharmaceutical supply chain. Our technology supports the manufacturing and distribution of billions of medical products worldwide.

We are seeking a motivated Software Engineer I with a strong frontend focus to help build intuitive, scalable, and high-quality web applications. This role is ideal for an early-career engineer who enjoys solving problems with JavaScript, working with data structures and algorithms, and contributing to reusable frontend libraries.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain responsive frontend applications using JavaScript and modern web technologies.
  • Build reusable UI components, shared utilities, and custom frontend libraries that can be used across multiple products.
  • Apply data structures and algorithms to solve product and performance challenges efficiently.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and QA engineers to deliver reliable user experiences.
  • Translate product requirements and UI designs into clean, maintainable, and accessible code.
  • Integrate frontend applications with REST APIs and GraphQL services.
  • Participate in code reviews, debugging, performance optimization, and technical design discussions.
  • Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and prevent regressions.
  • Contribute to documentation, coding standards, and continuous improvement of frontend engineering practices.
  • Work in an Agile development environment and use tools such as Git, Jira, and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong foundation in JavaScript, including ES6+ concepts.
  • Understanding of core data structures and algorithms, such as arrays, objects, maps, sets, stacks, queues, trees, sorting, and searching.
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, responsive design, and browser-based application development.
  • Understanding of component-based frontend architecture and reusable library design.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs and/or GraphQL.
  • Basic knowledge of Git, Jira, and the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
