Job Summary:
At HUB24, we’re redefining the future of financial advice in Australia. As a Software Engineer, you’ll help design and deliver scalable, high-performance platforms that empower advisers and improve access to quality financial guidance. You’ll collaborate with a talented, supportive team, contribute to technical decisions, and build impactful solutions used by thousands.Responsibilities:
- Design, build and maintain scalable applications and microservices
- Develop and optimise APIs (public and private) for seamless integrations
- Build modern, responsive web applications with strong UX focus
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
- Ensure performance, scalability, and security of systems
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile environment
- Support system maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement
- Contribute to documentation, standards, and technical innovation (including AI-enabled solutions)
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent
- 5+ years’ experience in software engineering
- Proficiency in Node.js (Nest.js a plus) and modern web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript)
- Experience with APIs, microservices, and web components
- Knowledge of SQL (e.g. SQL Server) and/or NoSQL (e.g. MongoDB)
- Exposure to cloud platforms (GCP preferred)
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, and Agile (Scrum)
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
- Experience with performance optimisation, testing, and secure development practices
Nice to have:
- .NET (C#), caching strategies, financial services experience
