Job Description

Own GYG's social media strategy and digital media performance end-to-end.

GYG builds all its content and social capability in-house. The Social & Digital Media Planning Manager owns the social calendar, the paid social strategy, and the digital media buying that drives platform growth and commercial results. You're a deep expert in social and digital media who can move between strategy, execution, and data without missing a beat.

What You'll Do

  • Develop GYG's social media strategy across Australia and all relevant overseas markets
  • Own the GYG social calendar across all social platforms, ensuring alignment with strategy and best practice
  • Manage daily posting and social media management across multiple social platforms
  • Manage spend for always-on social media support and proactively recommend paid optimisations
  • Lead GYG's relationship directly with publishers and social media companies within your remit
  • Lead the strategy and implementation of advertising with Google and other digital platforms managed in-house
  • Track and analyse social media performance, providing weekly and monthly reporting to the Leadership Team
  • Monitor emerging social trends, cultural moments, and platform innovations and translate insights into recommendations

What You'll Bring

  • 4–5+ years' experience in a digital marketing role
  • A track record of developing highly successful social media content and campaigns
  • Experience and working relationships with social media platforms including Meta, TikTok, and LinkedIn
  • Strong understanding of brand and ability to create engaging digital copy
  • Proven capability to create content and ideas that generate engagement
  • Strong data literacy with experience using data to report on performance and make recommendations
  • High level of interpersonal skills with the ability to manage both internal and external stakeholder relationships
