Your New Role and Responsibilities

Reporting to the ServiceNow Team Leader, the ServiceNow Administrator is a member of our ServiceNow Platform team that support ServiceNow capabilities and instances to deliver organisational and customer objectives under operational sustainment contracts.

As an administrator of the ServiceNow Platform and Product suite, this role will be leading improvement and remediation initiatives designed to gain maximum value from our investment in ServiceNow. This role is responsible for analysing and translating business information and technical requirements into practical designs, proposing solutions to achieve complex business objectives. The position provides guidance on, assists in establishing, and participates in technical governance processes as well as IT Service Management and Operations best practices.

The role collaborates on the design and implementation of a platform operating model that improves likelihood of successful go-lives and end-user adoption. The ServiceNow Administrator role provides technical evaluation of strategic and operational demands against the ServiceNow platform architecture, platform capabilities, and leading practices.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Develop, test, maintain, and configure ServiceNow components, modules, workflows, integrations, and automation solutions to meet business requirements, optimise operations, and align out-of-the-box capabilities with required business outcomes.

  • Design and implement ServiceNow integrations and platform solutions that improve reliability, availability, data integration, cyber security compliance, cost optimisation, and value from investment.

  • Contribute to ServiceNow development, deployment, release, documentation, process compliance, operational reporting, continuous improvement, and best practice implementation, including remediation of platform customisations where appropriate.

  • Work closely with Product Architects, Platform Teams, Support Teams, vendors, stakeholders, SMEs, and process owners to consolidate requirements, support self-service and automation outcomes, and ensure delivery aligns with agreed roadmaps and plans.

  • Provide documentation, training, mentoring, and guidance on ServiceNow capabilities, champion low-code and no-code maturity, and coordinate assigned tasks and improvements to meet workload demands.

About You and What You'll Bring 

  • Highly skilled ITSM Specialist with ServiceNow Administration experience, combining business process analysis and technical capability to deliver customer-driven, sustainable, low-code and out-of-the-box ServiceNow solutions in a complex customised environment.

  • Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills, with the ability to develop secure, scalable, consistent, repeatable, and pragmatic solutions while supporting agile ways of working, rapid prototyping, and collaboration with process owners.

  • Experienced in ServiceNow platform administration, development, architecture, IT Service Management operations, workshop facilitation, requirements elicitation, process improvement, automation, orchestration, and cyber security within enterprise and highly regulated environments.

  • Strong planning, project management, documentation, communication, interpersonal, mentoring, and cross-training skills, with a proven ability to work collaboratively, manage critical issues, and deliver outcomes within deadlines.

  • Holds or is willing to maintain relevant ServiceNow certifications, with Certified System Administrator and ITIL certifications highly regarded, alongside a Bachelor’s degree in computer information systems or related experience.

This role does require the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and hold a minimum NV-1 level security clearance and be willing and able to uplift to an NV-2.
