Where the team fits in 

The SEO team is responsible for implementing the SEO strategy for REA Group’s Australian brands. The team does this by driving SEO excellence and performance across all products to maximise the organic search audience opportunity and grow SEO market share against our competitors.  We’re passionate about SEO and our high-performing in-house team has been recognised as the best in the industry.

What the role is all about 

In this role you’ll be working with stakeholders in different functions across marketing, product, design and technology to drive SEO excellence and performance in our products.

You will help implement SEO strategies to maximise organic search audience and your focus will be on using data and SEO tools to make recommendations, share insights and report on SEO performance. 

This is a junior role and you’ll have the opportunity to learn from some of the best talent in the industry.  You’ll be part of a team that is built on knowledge sharing, open communication and shared success.

Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Support senior team members to design and execute SEO strategies.
  • Contribute to technical SEO audits and competitor gap analysis to inform SEO requirements to product and tech teams.
  • Create and distribute SEO reports, using analytics data and SEO tools to gather insights.
  • Respond to SEO support questions from internal customers and communicate SEO concepts to people across the business.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and algorithm changes, sharing insights with teams.

Who we’re looking for 

  • You have 2+ years’ experience in a similar SEO-focused role (agency or in-house).
  • You are proficient with SEO tools including Google Search Console, SEMRush and have a solid understanding of SEO fundamentals.
  • You have excellent communication skills and are confident in explaining SEO concepts, recommendations and results.
  • You’re a curious problem solver with a strong attention to detail who uses data and insights to make decisions and recommendations.
  • You’re good at analysing data and using Excel and Powerpoint to compile SEO reports.
  • You’ve had experience working across teams to help deliver successful SEO projects.
  • You’re passionate about SEO and have a desire for continuous learning and growth.
  • You can prioritise work from multiple stakeholders while managing expectations.
  • You’re comfortable with taking direction from senior team members and can also work autonomously.
  • You are a collaborative team member who wants to be part of a team that has high levels of trust and achieves success together.
