About the team you’ll join
The Grow domain sits within Xero’s Enterprise Technology group, managing some of the key Sales & Marketing Technologies used at Xero. Within Grow, our remit is Customer Acquisition and Engagement; working with stakeholders to enable new capabilities that help Xero scale and improve experiences for our external customers and internal users.
We leverage systems like Intercom, Qualtrics, Salesforce Sales Cloud (CRM), Marketing Cloud, CRM Analytics and other SaaS-based technologies to achieve strategic objectives.

What you'll do:
As a Systems Analyst, you will be working with a talented team and be responsible for engaging with business and technical stakeholders, other delivery team members, and third party vendors to understand problems and desired outcomes. You will analyse, document and communicate needs and requirements in a way that enables delivery of scalable, high quality solutions. You will be seen as a person of knowledge, relied upon to communicate clearly and constructively; partnering with the Product Owner, Product Manager and teams to bring our vision to life.
Systems Analysts are expected to develop a strong understanding of the needs / requirements of the users and interpret best ways to apply these in systems; able to guide high quality decisions on prioritisation of requests, be articulate and pragmatic in the definition of requirements and effective in root cause identification and rapid problem solving.
What you'll bring:
- Bachelor of Science in Business Information Systems or Bachelor of Information Systems/Science
- 3+ years hands-on experience of business requirements gathering and solution delivery as a Business Analyst or Technology Consultant
- Project Planning and Software Delivery Management experience desirable
- Ideally a strong understanding of Intercom or other customer service / communication platforms such as Pendo, UserPilot, or Qualtrics.
- Previous experience working with SaaS-based technologies and platforms, ideally in an agile fashion within a development function.
- Considered an SME across a particular domain and set of solutions
- Familiarity with Business and Systems Architecture models and descriptions
- Experience of working within an Agile Sprint environment and driving consistent results
- Being a champion for the customer and the business - to solve real problems
- Prior experience with databases, query and report-building.
- Working with Product Manager, and stakeholders to understand objectives, value and success measures for new features and enhancements
- Gathering, eliciting and documenting business processes, workflows, and requirements
- Ability to interact with Senior Stakeholders and vendors in a proactive and professional manner
- Ability to comprehend and have an understanding of the wider Teams portfolio of delivery and how you fit in
