What does the role of SEO Graduate Assistant involve?
Working in our South Yarra office, this role will see you immerse yourself in the world of SEO and ecommerce, learning directly from gamechangers in this space, and developing your technical and content expertise. As a Pattern Graduate, you will be adding value from day one, doing real work and delivering real results that make a difference for our clients. Designed to broaden your knowledge of how SEO in a digital marketing agency operates, you will complete the following activities: 

  • Technical: Conduct key projects including keyword research, metadata refreshes, competitor audits and technical audits
  • Content: Assist with the management of SEO content calendars and copywriting for Organic marketing
  • Research: Complete research to identify insights and opportunities that feed into client growth targets 
  • Forecasting: Monitor KPI targets for clients and provide suggestions on how these could be met 
  • Reporting: Deliver weekly and monthly reporting in line with Pattern’s reporting framework 
  • Clients: Participate in WIPs and monthly calls with internal and external stakeholders 

What will I need to thrive in this role?

  • Final year university student studying marketing, business, analytics, computer science or communications with a keen interest in digital and ecommerce
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written 
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical with an eye for insights 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace and data interpretation 
  • Strong initiative, curiosity and an enthusiasm for digital and ecommerce 
  • Strong extra-curricular achievements that reflect a proactive attitude and ownership 
  • The ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Having previous experience working in digital marketing or SEO would be highly regarded
  • Being familiar with SEO best practice standards would be highly regarded
