This role entails testing to the detailed and documented specifications and highlighting any discrepancies in the implementation. The employee should also be able to perform test planning, smoke testing, regression test and integration testing on the product's functionality. In this role you will be strongly supported by QA/tech leads and a small group of business analysts who will provide you with the initial guidance of the product and the process and will continue to do so when required.
Communication for this role is mostly through the Team Leader and relevant development team members but at times will require that you engage with other business teams at myprosperity. You will co-create Test Strategies in collaboration with your team and will be expected to share test reports.
Responsibilities:
- Work in a team environment to form acceptance criteria and build test plans
- Define and execute functional, user experience and performance tests
- Coordinating with the BA team or QA lead to understand the requirements
- Develop and manage test documentation based on the requirement understanding from BA team or QA lead
- Perform testing and record results / log issues in bug tracking software (JIRA)
- Escaped bugs into production
- QA cycle times
- Accurate bug descriptions and verification steps
Key Performance indicators:
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or another related field.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Functional and non-functional testing
- Test management using JIRA (with both Scrum and Kanban approaches) and Confluence
- Experience working in true agile development environments
- Build management using Jenkins and other CI-CD tools
- API testing with knowledge of POSTMAN
- Selenium with knowledge of Spec-flow for creating and maintaining test scripts
- SQL and other DB management tools
- Excellent teamwork
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Outstanding analytical and Problem-solving skills
