You will work closely with specialists across all NBN network domains such as FTTx, HFC, Fixed Wireless, Satellite, Transit, Network Infrastructure and Security to create a cohesive, future‑ready architectural vision grounded in customer‑centred outcomes. Your work will guide innovation, simplify our environment design and support teams across INES to adopt new methods and tools with confidence.
Specialisation Focus:
We are specifically seeking someone with deep expertise in Transit & Core Network and Infrastructure Domains in this role, including:
• Deep understanding of Transit network architectures
• Strong grounding in Core network domain evolution and architectural patterns

• Strong knowledge of network infrastructure platforms and integration patterns
• Experience with Network‑as‑Code, containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes), automation frameworks and Infrastructure‑as‑Code methodologies
• Ability to shape automation and orchestration patterns across network domains
You will maintain and evolve the baseline environment architecture, provide expert input into planning and design activities, and offer thoughtful consultation on network engineering solutions. You will also lead the capability uplift program, strengthening technical expertise across INES and helping shape the standards, rhythms and practices that enable effective, collaborative delivery.
A bit about you
You bring deep technical knowledge and a collaborative, inclusive approach. You are skilled at translating complex architectural concepts into clear guidance and enjoy working closely with others to shape shared outcomes. You are experienced in environment architecture or technology strategy and comfortable working across multiple network domains while keeping an end‑to‑end perspective.
You are curious about emerging technologies and thoughtful in how you assess their potential. You enjoy uplifting capability, shaping standards and supporting teams to work more effectively together.
