Senior Specialist, Product Development
Job Overview
Responsible for defining, designing, and supporting the development of new products, services, or product components. This role translates business needs into functional and technical requirements, researches emerging technologies and competitive offerings, and contributes to product ideation and enhancements. The role also supports product launches, including implementation, marketing communications, and launch collateral, while partnering closely with Technology teams to build and scale platforms.
Key Responsibilities• Contribute to the development of new products and product enhancements• Execute assigned activities across the product development lifecycle, including features, benefits, pricing, rules, and implementation guidelines• Collaborate with Technology teams to translate product requirements into technical specifications• Support execution of product marketing strategies, including advertising, promotions, and sales enablement• Assist with product launches and highly customized implementations• Prepare and maintain reports on the status of product and project components
Education• Master's degree or equivalent work experience preferred
Knowledge & Experience• 5-7 years of experience in the payments industry and/or financial services• Broad understanding of product development functions and processes
Skills & Abilities• Deep understanding of product development concepts and best practices across the full product development lifecycle, from discovery through launch and optimization• Hands-on knowledge of product and project management tools such as Jira (and similar platforms) to manage backlogs, track delivery, and ensure transparency across teams• Proven ability to apply AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics to drive product innovation, improve decisioning, automate workflows, and enhance customer outcomes• Strong capability in AI-enabled product ideation, including identifying high-value use cases, framing problem statements, and translating data and customer insights into scalable product concepts• Some data proficiency in the payments and financial services domain, with experience analyzing transaction data, behavioral signals, risk indicators, and performance metrics to inform product strategy• Ability to tell clear, compelling stories using data, translating complex analytical outputs and AI-driven insights into actionable narratives for executive, technical, and business stakeholders• Experience partnering closely with data science and technology teams to define requirements for AI-powered features, models, and platforms• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in fast-paced, ambiguous environments• Advanced organizational and project management skills, with strong attention to detail and execution discipline• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence across organizational levels• Effective collaborator with experience working across product, technology, data, sales, and external partner teams
