Job DescriptionThe Team
You will be an integral part of our Profile Experience (PREX) or Apply Experience (APEX) engineering team and the combined P&A or PANDA subdomain, as we like to call ourselves. Your responsibilities will include contributing to ideation and implementation of product features, partnering with iOS and web engineers on the design of our shared backend API, technical alignment with the broader iOS platform team, and ensuring we are delivering great outcomes for our customers.
Our Profile Experience team is responsible for developing and delivering the most useful career profile through which job candidates can find a great job and grow their career: a profile that is preferred by hirers; helping a candidate find, be found and stand out for their best job match.
Our Apply Experience team is responsible for the job application process and related experiences through which Candidates prefer to connect with hirers - on SEEK as their trusted career companion that helps them stand out.

About the role
We are looking for two Senior iOS Engineers who are motivated by delighting our iOS app users with great user experience (UX) and have passion for designing & developing iOS product features by working with a cross-functional team on creating a world-class product experience. You will be delivering this value primarily in one of these two product areas:
• In the SEEK Profile where our users list their work history, upload their CV, set their next role preferences and similar, and then ultimately use this information in the job application process, or when being found and approached by hirers based this same information.
• In the candidate job application process – a key area where the magic match between a job candidate and a hirer takes place on our SEEK marketplace.
You will also play an important role in helping shape and sometimes implement the design of our Profile or Apply server APIs and - as a member of the wider Candidate iOS app team – in helping drive our iOS app platform technical strategy and its implementation, delivering a modern and easy-to-develop-for mobile app across our SEEK, Jobsdb, and Jobstreet brands that operate in the Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia and Philippines markets. From time to time, you will also closely collaborate with the neighbouring team, Apply Experience and Profile Experience and vice versa, given Profile information and components are integrated in the Apply user flow and we share a lot of code and help each other.
Key Accountabilities
With commercial-based experience in native iOS app development, your role will be primarily responsible for:
- The design, implementation & delivery of Profile product features in the SEEK / Jobstreet / Jobsdb iOS app.
- Collaborating across the full engineering community at SEEK, contributing to the evolution of SEEK’s development practices & principles.
- Contributing to the team’s engineering maturity on mobile app related approaches and demonstrating a continuous improvement attitude.
- Contributing to platform health and participating in app release management and production monitoring.
- Participating in out-of-hours on-call duties, ensuring the health of our production systems (additional pay).
- Actively participating in team ceremonies such as planning, goal setting, retrospectives and stand-ups.
Skills and Experience
The following experiences from previous roles will set you up for success in this position:
- Passionate in delivering product features direct to customers and ensuring they have a delightful mobile app experience.
- Custodianship mindset and long-term ownership with a focus on iterative evolution and refactoring of a product and codebase, being patient to implement major changes over a longer period of time and being able to drive change by getting buy-in and communicating trade-offs to your technical, delivery and product stakeholders.
- Working in a team and being energised by co-driving the direction of our solutions, while being comfortable with dealing with uncertainty and happy to problem-solve with others as we go.
Technical Skills
- Experienced in developing highly scalable, available, performant, and secure native iOS Apps.
- Knowledge of software engineering principles, object-oriented programming and practices in the iOS ecosystem.
- Strong sense of software craftsmanship, writes clean, testable, effective, and communicable code, driving team engineering principles.
- Experience driving design of and integration with backend services and user behaviour metrics.
- Familiarity with testing frameworks and test automation.
Desirable Skills
- Practical experience with Swift, SwiftUI, XCTest, XCUITest, Grand Central Dispatch, multi variant applications, multi-module applications.
- Experienced in creating and maintaining continuous delivery pipelines using current practices, patterns & tooling.
- Familiar with GraphQL and Typescript.
- Drives a culture of continuous improvement and inspires such pursuit in others.
- Contributes and participates in user groups, meetups, conferences, and or open-source projects.
