Engineering@Easygo

At Easygo, our Core team is at the heart of our operations, creating the robust, high-performance backend software that underpins both our global casino games and sportsbook offerings. The exciting thing about the Core team is that it impacts every single customer and is felt directly by every engineer across all feature development squads within the world's largest online crypto casino and sportsbook platform. As a dedicated developer experience team, we tackle complex technical challenges with innovation and precision, ensuring the foundational systems are robust, scalable, and empower all product development teams.

If you're passionate about growth, innovation, and working with the best, we'd love to have you on our team!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, well-tested features and improvements across the app estate with a strong focus on correctness, performance, and platform best practices.
  • Contribute meaningfully to architectural and technical design discussions within your platform domain, raising considerations around scalability, stability, and maintainability. Uphold and actively contribute to engineering standards including code review rigour, testing coverage, CI/CD adherence and the team's Definition of Done.
  • Partner with Product Managers, UX Designers, and Backend Platform Engineers to deliver user experiences that are seamless and leverage platform capabilities effectively. Identify and surface blockers, technical risks, and delivery concerns early - taking a proactive approach to problem-solving rather than waiting to be directed. Support the growth of the team by providing constructive code review feedback, sharing knowledge openly, and offering guidance to less experienced engineers.
  • Contribute to improving crash-free rates, release predictability, and app stability - key engineering metrics for the Device Experiences team.
  • Participate in on-call and incident response activities, taking ownership of issues within your domain through to resolution.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience. 4+ years of hands-on experience in mobile software engineering with a focus on quality delivery and scalable development.
  • Proficiency in one or more mobile platforms, with familiarity in the relevant ecosystem and frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of mobile development lifecycles including design, testing, release pipelines, and production support.
  • Experience working with RESTful APIs to connect mobile applications to back-end services. Good understanding of mobile platform design principles and interface guidelines. Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, product, and design.
  • A track record of delivering reliable, well-tested features in a team environment.
  • Experience building and maintaining large-scale consumer mobile applications.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks for mobile.
  • Experience debugging production issues and contributing to incident resolution.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead delivery of a feature or component from design to production.
  • Experience building custom UI components, video players, or animations.
  • Exposure to regulated market app delivery or multi-variant build pipelines.
  • A quick learner who embraces new technologies and adapts to changing priorities.

Some of the perks of joining us:

  • Champion Engineering Excellence to influence cultural change across the organisation.
  • Work alongside the top 5% of engineering talent in Australia, using a vast cloud native tech stack including AWS, Microservices, Large-Scale Distributed Systems, NATS, K8's, ArgoCD, Terraform, Typescript, GraphQL, Nodejs.
  • Exposure to building global, large-scale volume products which operate at thousands per second frequency.
  • Be rewarded with lucrative annual bonuses
  • Enjoy 30 days of bundled person leave - choose how you use it!
  • Give back with a paid volunteer day
  • Fuel your day with daily breakfast and open pantries brimming with unlimited snacks and refreshments, all on the house

  • Enjoy a bustling office with the option for up to 2 days work from home per week
  • Fun office environment with pool tables, table tennis and all your favourite gaming consoles

We believe that the unique contributions of everyone at Easygo are the drivers of our success. To make sure that our products and culture continue to incorporate everyone's perspectives and experiences we never discriminate on the basis of race, religion, national origin, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, marital, veteran, or disability status. We are passionate about providing a workplace that encourages great participation and an equal playing field, where merit and accomplishment are the only criteria for success.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
