Purpose

We’re looking for a Senior Software Developer to join our product engineering team and help build, modernise and scale our global SaaS platform. This role spans both backend and frontend development, working across APIs, microservices, user interfaces, and cloud infrastructure. You’ll contribute to new feature development, platform modernisation, and production support, while collaborating closely with web, mobile and platform teams. You’ll work in an agile, DevOps-driven environment, helping us continuously improve how we build and operate software.

• Global SaaS platform operating across on-prem infrastructure, Azure and AWS, with an active migration to AWS
• Microservices architecture with a focus on modern DevOps practices
• Ongoing transition from MSSQL to PostgreSQL
• Modern web stack with React-based SPAs
• Containerisation and cloud-native tooling (Docker, Kubernetes)

What You’ll Bring

• Tertiary qualifications in IT or Software Engineering, or equivalent industry experience
• Experience building and supporting SaaS platforms using modern web application patterns
• Strong computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms and problem solving
• Solid experience with JavaScript, C#, and ASP.NET (Core or 4.x)
• Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, microservices, ORMs, MVC frameworks and modern development tools
• Frontend development experience with React, modern HTML/CSS, and JavaScript tooling
• Experience working in distributed and cloud-based systems
• Exposure to containerisation and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps-oriented workflows
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to seek clarity and avoid rework
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver to agreed timelines
• Collaborative team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proactive self-starter who takes ownership and contributes to continuous improvement

What You’ll Do

• Design, build and maintain new features, APIs and services across the platform
• Develop and maintain backend and frontend components, including modern web UIs and SPAs
• Build and evolve RESTful APIs, microservices and asynchronous communication systems
• Contribute to UI modernisation initiatives and collaborate with the mobile team on frontend and supporting backend services
• Refactor existing code to improve performance, scalability, maintainability and usability
• Integrate with internal and external systems as required
• Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve production issues, providing operational support when needed
• Write and maintain automated tests to ensure quality and reliability
• Collaborate with engineers, product, customer success and support teams on complex features and customer issues
• Participate in code reviews, peer programming, stand-ups and product demonstrations
• Document functionality, interfaces and services for internal and external audiences
• Mentor and support other developers and contribute to continuous improvement
