Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager, MSP to lead and expand our Managed Service Provider (MSP) business across the APJ region.
This is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving growth, building partner capability, and elevating our MSP ecosystem, with a focus on scaling beyond ANZ and into the broader APJ region. You will lead a distributed team, develop market strategies, and work cross-functionally to strengthen our MSP value proposition.
This position is a backfill for a previous regional leader who will report to the Global VP of MSP.
What You Will Do
- Strategic Leadership & Business Growth
- Develop and execute the regional MSP strategy to grow MSP revenue across APJ. Identify the next focus countries to expand our MSP business.
- Identify and recruit larger, high-potential MSP partners to diversify beyond the smaller existing partner base.
- Build scalable engagement models to increase partner adoption, technical capability, and sales performance.
- Team Management
- Lead a team of four MSP channel managers across APJ.
- Coach, develop, and support a team to drive performance and elevate regional execution.
- Foster collaboration across sales, channel, product, and executive stakeholders.
- Partner & Market Development
- Drive MSP acquisition and enablement, ensuring partners can successfully adopt and deliver Sophos solutions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- · Partner closely with Channel, Sales, Product, and Marketing teams to align initiatives and support market penetration.
- · Provide input into global MSP strategy and participate in leadership forums.
- Candidate & Program Evaluation
- · Support hiring and expansion of MSP roles within the region.
- · Contribute to interview processes, including evaluating partner leadership skills and strategic capabilities
What You Will Bring
- Strong experience in an MSP leadership role within a technology vendor environment.
- Demonstrated ability to build, incubate, and scale programs or new business segments.
- Cross-regional exposure across ANZ and broader APJ markets (ASEAN and India preferred).
- Experience recruiting and developing MSP partners, particularly mid-sized to large providers.
- Technical & Industry Knowledge
- Ability to articulate cybersecurity fundamentals, specifically around: MDR, Endpoint Security, XDR
- Experience leading remote regional teams based in ANZ and ASEAN
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder-management skills
- Additional experience in MSP-centric ecosystems.
- Prior success driving growth in new or underdeveloped regional markets
- Ability to influence at all levels, including senior executives and global stakeholders.
