WHO YOU ARE 

This Darwin-based role will manage the coordination and delivery of fit out and finishes packages on construction projects. To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Tertiary or Certificate qualifications in Construction or a related field, or 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong experience delivering fit out and finishes scopes on commercial or residential projects ($10M+)
  • Solid understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and finishes-related scope requirements
  • Strong technical knowledge of fit out systems and materials including flooring, joinery, cladding, and ceiling systems
  • Proven experience coordinating subcontractors and site activities
  • Strong understanding of safety, quality control, and compliance within construction environments
  • Ability to manage documentation, reporting, and site records with high attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Support the Project Manager and Senior Site Manager in planning, scheduling, and coordinating site works
  • Monitor progress of fit out and finishes works against programme and address delays or issues
  • Maintain accurate records of materials, subcontractor activities, inspections, and completed works
  • Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and material schedules to ensure alignment with project scope
  • Track and communicate variations or changes in scope to the Project Manager
  • Coordinate subcontractors across fit out and finishes trades, ensuring timely delivery and installation
  • Attend site meetings and inspections related to joinery, flooring, finishes, and related works
  • Ensure subcontractors meet project requirements for safety, quality, and programme
  • Inspect works to ensure compliance with specifications, design intent, and quality standards
  • Identify and address defects across fit out elements including flooring, cabinetry, and finishes
  • Ensure all works comply with building codes, project specifications, and DCOH safety systems
  • Conduct safety inspections and audits, ensuring adherence to SWMS and safe work practices
  • Maintain accurate site documentation including checklists, coordination logs, and quality records
  • Coordinate with consultants, designers, and subcontractors to resolve design and access issues
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders
  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment and represent DCOH professionally at all times
