Your New Role
As Senior Product Manager, Pricing, Modelling & Analytics, you will lead the commercial pricing strategy for AustralianSuper’s Accumulation, Retirement and Member Direct products. You will help ensure products are priced competitively, transparently, sustainably and equitably while supporting the Fund’s ongoing growth and distinct member proposition.
Working collaboratively across Finance, Actuarial, Investment and Product teams, you will provide the analysis, modelling and commercial insights needed to support pricing decisions and new product development. You will also enable Executive and Board Committees to make informed decisions aligned with the Fund’s pricing principles and market aspirations.
Key duties include but are not limited to;
- Lead the development of the Fund’s product pricing strategy for Accumulation, Retirement and Member Direct products.
- Collaborate with Actuarial and Finance teams to address pricing analysis and business planning needs.
- Recommend pricing adjustments that enhance competitiveness and sustainability.
- Maintain the administration fee pricing model and other pricing models as required.
- Monitor product financial performance and RG97 cost budgets, recommending enhancements or rationalisation where appropriate.
- Ensure compliance with the Pricing Principles Policy and manage risks relating to pricing and market competitiveness.
- Contribute to new product development, business cases, annual product reviews and agreed pricing projects.
- Research market trends, competitor pricing and member perceptions to inform pricing strategy.
What You’ll Need
- Significant experience within superannuation or wealth management, ideally in finance, pricing or product development roles.
- Knowledge of the competitive environment relating to superannuation products and pricing.
- Strong commercial capability in assessing pricing, projects, expenditure and service provider contracts.
- Highly developed analytical, modelling and problem-solving skills.
- Experience developing Executive and Board papers and presentations.
- Demonstrated influencing, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to review and assimilate a significant volume of complex information.
- A tertiary qualification in Business Management, Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Actuarial or a related field. A postgraduate qualification is desirable.
