Responsibilities:

  • Own and drive core people cycles: performance management, promotions, talent reviews, and succession planning, ensuring consistency at scale.

  • Lead and resolve complex employee relations and workforce issues, applying sound judgment and a pragmatic understanding of employment law and risk management.

  • Shape and deliver talent strategies for hiring, development, engagement, and retention, leveraging people data and insights to inform decisions.

  • Coach and upskill leaders to build high-performing, inclusive teams and strong leadership capability.

  • Partner with cross-functional leaders in a global environment, navigating ambiguity and change at scale.

  • Continuously improve people processes, leveraging HR systems and data to drive efficiency and scalability.

  • Support organizational change, transformation, and growth initiatives, coaching leaders through periods of change.

  • Proven capability handling complex employee relations matters with sound judgment and familiarity with employment legislation and risk management.

  • Experience partnering with cross-functional leaders in global or regional environments, navigating ambiguity and change at scale.

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Psychology, or a related field.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Advanced HR qualifications or certifications (e.g., CIPD, SHRM, or equivalent).

  • Experience working in high-growth technology or fintech organizations.

  • Strong analytical, project management, and communication skills.

  • Proactive, resourceful, and able to solve complex problems.

  • Experience leveraging HR systems and people data to inform decisions and drive process improvements.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
