Job Description

Lead restaurant marketing across GYG's network and drive local growth at scale.

GYG is opening restaurants at pace, and this is the senior role that makes marketing work at the local level. The Senior Marketing Manager – Restaurants leads a team of Marketing Managers and Activation Coordinators, owning the local area marketing strategy, and the senior stakeholder relationships that keep corporate and franchise partners aligned to the national brand agenda.

What You'll Do

  • Lead, coach and develop a team of Marketing Managers and Activation Coordinators: set clear expectations, manage performance and support professional development
  • Develop and oversee the local area marketing strategy across the NSW restaurant network and national focus restaurants, ensuring alignment with GYG brand and growth priorities
  • Work 1:1 with Marketing Managers to support bespoke LAM plans for Corporate and Franchise restaurant groups
  • Develop and execute marketing strategies for new restaurant openings across NSW and the national network, including 120-day plans and 'next 9 months' strategies
  • Act as the senior marketing relationship owner for Corporate and Franchise stakeholders across the business
  • Work with the Sponsorships & Marketing Manager on grassroots sponsorship programs that build brand awareness and community engagement
  • Use GYG's data to identify restaurant opportunities and drive proactive, evidence-based marketing solutions
  • Collaborate with Digital, Creative and Operations teams to ensure integrated execution across all restaurant marketing activity
  • Build post-campaign analysis and case studies to share learnings across the wider restaurant network

What You'll Bring

  • 7-10 years' marketing experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or team leadership role
  • Proven experience in local area marketing, restaurant marketing or retail marketing
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team and manage performance effectively
  • Strong track record in stakeholder management with both Corporate and Franchise partners
  • Experience in NRO marketing and managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects
  • Holistic marketing mindset encompassing digital, social, media, PR and experiential marketing
  • Valid Australian driver's licence and willingness to travel intrastate and interstate
