We have an exciting opportunity at nbn for a Senior Manager Safety & Quality Transform and Improve. This role plays a critical leadership position in shaping safer work practices, strengthening quality outcomes, and driving meaningful transformation across our Field Operations environment.

A bit about your role

As the Senior Manager Safety & Quality Transform and Improve, you will lead the transformation and continuous improvement of safety and quality initiatives across Field Operations, ensuring systems, standards, tools, and practices are effectively embedded into everyday operations. You will own the Safety & Quality transformation roadmap, driving the prioritisation, governance, and delivery of initiatives that improve compliance, reduce risk, and enhance operational performance across nbn and our delivery partner ecosystem.

In this role, you will partner with stakeholders across Safety, Quality, Technology, People & Culture, and Field Operations to deliver practical and scalable solutions that support safer, more consistent field execution. You will be responsible for governance and executive reporting, providing clear insights into program progress, risks, and outcomes while ensuring investment decisions are aligned to strategic priorities. A key focus of the role will be benefits realisation, translating operational and performance data into measurable improvements that strengthen safety culture, improve quality outcomes, reduce rework, and support the long-term success of Field Operations.

You have a proven ability to develop and execute strategic roadmaps, establish strong governance frameworks, and deliver measurable business outcomes through the successful implementation of new processes, systems, and ways of working.

You are a collaborative and authentic leader who builds trusted relationships and creates environments where people feel supported to contribute, learn, and grow. With a strong balance of strategic thinking and practical execution, you are comfortable influencing senior stakeholders, navigating complexity, and using data-driven insights to guide decision-making. Your passion for continuous improvement, coupled with your commitment to safety and quality excellence, enables you to deliver meaningful, measurable outcomes that create lasting value for our people, partners, and customers.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
