This role sits within our NDIS business, Plan and Support Services (PSS), where we are dedicated to empowering Australians with disabilities to live their lives with choice and control.

We are seeking a Senior Manager – Operational Risk to lead and evolve our operational risk management framework. This is a key leadership role with oversight across plan management, contact centre operations, and invoice processing and payments. You’ll play a critical role in safeguarding service quality, financial accuracy, and regulatory compliance — all while embedding a strong, proactive risk culture throughout the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

You will lead risk management initiatives across six core areas:

  • Risk Identification, Assessment & Control – proactively identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks, with a focus on process and control design.
  • Compliance & Regulatory Oversight – ensure adherence to NDIS guidelines and other regulatory requirements.
  • Business Continuity & Incident Management – strengthen resilience through well-tested plans and rapid incident response.
  • Reporting & Data Analysis – deliver insights through risk reporting and data analysis for executive and board stakeholders.
  • Risk Culture & Continuous Improvement – champion risk awareness and foster a culture of accountability and learning.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration – work closely with senior leaders, operational teams, and Group Risk to embed best practice.

About You

To be successful in this role, you’ll bring:

  • Proven experience in Line 1 operational risk and operational resilience roles.
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing, testing, and assuring controls, through audits and risk assurance activities.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in financial services or another regulated sector.
  • Deep understanding of operational risk frameworks, control testing methodologies, and incident management.
  • Familiarity with contact centre operations and/or financial transaction processing.
  • Experience preparing high-quality reports and insights for executive and board-level audiences.
  • Knowledge of privacy, data protection, and applicable Australian legislation.
  • Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce is advantageous.
