Be the Legal Voice in Easygo’s Next Chapter

Shape the legal future of a frontier industry
We're on the hunt for a proactive, commercially minded Senior Legal Counsel to join our Legal team at Easygo. This isn’t your typical in-house role, this is an opportunity to work at the cutting edge of law in technology and digital entertainment. You'll help define legal frameworks where rules are still being written, navigating high-stakes, cross-border matters while helping shape the strategy and risk posture of some of the world’s most exciting digital brands.

As part of our team, you'll:

  • Lead legal initiatives across corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters that span multiple jurisdictions.
  • Advise on major transactions, high-risk projects, and strategic business moves in fast-evolving regulatory environments.
  • Partner with senior leaders and internal teams to develop legal strategies that support sustainable business growth.
  • Influence legal frameworks in areas like crypto, SaaS, and gaming—sectors that require forward-thinking, commercially aligned legal solutions.
  • Build internal credibility by being seen as a trusted, solutions-oriented advisor who balances business goals with legal risk.
You’ll have
  • 6+ years of corporate and commercial legal experience, which includes a mix of private practice and in-house experience.
  • Experience in IP law, crypto or gaming law will be a plus.
  • Qualified to practice law in Australia.
  • Demonstrated expertise in contract negotiation, drafting, and legal risk management.
  • A proactive, solution-focused mindset, and comfort navigating ambiguity.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills—you’re someone who builds trust quickly.
  • A “doer” mindset who is willing to roll up their sleeves to get things done.
  • Does not consider themselves a “blocker” but someone who provides actionable, practical advice to the business.
  • A genuine interest in emerging industries, with a particular passion for crypto, gaming, or digital entertainment law.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
